Easter has arrived and it is associated with spring and nature. It is more than just Easter eggs and bunnies. Easter Sunday falls on 1 April 2018 and is the culmination of the Holy Week.
Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the most important Christian festival, and the one celebrated with the greatest joy.
In our kindergarten, we had assembly on Easter Monday, 2 April 2018 explaining the significance of Easter. So how can we make Easter meaningful and fun for the children? For
Pre-Nursery children, they had parachute Easter egg game, Nursery children had fun pinning the tail on Easter bunny blindfolded, K1 children did marbling of the Easter eggs using
shaving cream and food dyes and K2 children decorated their Easter eggs using paints and cotton buds. At the end of the day, every child brought home a hard boiled egg each instead
of Easter chocolate eggs as we are promoting healthy eating habits in school. Easter is about being saved and the promise of a new life which gives true meaning and
purpose to our time on Earth. Alleluia! Christ is risen!
