The children embarked on the field trip journey to Art Science Museum on 28 and 29 August 2018. The children and parent volunteers left at 9.30 am and reached Art Science Museum at 10am. There was a short briefing by the museum facilitator on the house rules and safety aspects.

The children were split into smaller groups first and two groups were headed by parent volunteers. They had to rotate themselves between three galleries. They were Wind Walkers, Marvel Studios and Future World. Firstly, the children covered the Wind Walkers followed by Marvel Studios. At the Wind Walkers, the children had a life show on the Strandbeest and experiencing the lifelike movement. Marvel studios: Ten Years of Heroes is a cutting –edge exhibition that utilises state-of-the-art AV technology and immersive media to transport the children into the dynamic Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After which the children, parent volunteers and teachers had to go to the museum lockers to get their backpacks. Then the children were seated at the wooden benches outside the Future World Gallery. They took out their packed lunch to eat. After lunch, the children went for the Future World. Children enjoyed Future World most as they had a hand at scanning the pictures and making the pictures came alive on the interactive wall. It was a futuristic world of high-tech interactive experiences created in collaboration with teamLab, a renowned Japanese interdisciplinary art collective.

We had a wonderful experience at the three galleries. The children arrived back in school at 1.30pm and the children could not contain their excitement of their field trip experience to their parents.
